Refereeing is a great way to enjoy the beautiful game and make some money as well. Games pay $40 for an Assistant Referee and $70 for the Middle Referee. You get to choose what nights you want to work as well!

The course involves completing 17 online modules (about 6-8 hours of study), a 2.5 hour webinar and an on field session to be scheduled once Health Orders allow for it.

This course will enable you to be an official at all local levels and we will provide mentorship to help you to improve and succeed! The only qualification you need in order to take this course is to be at least 14 years old.

In order to register go to  and search for Kelowna. Click on Register on the right side of clinic 1607 (Kelowna). A form will open, complete it and you will be prompted to pay online.

ENTRY LEVEL COURSES - The Entry Level Referee Clinic is the entry point into 11 a-side soccer. Once an individual is successful in passing this clinic they will be classified as a Youth Referee (if they are 14 or 15 years old) or a District Referee (if they are 16 years old or older). The goal of this clinic is to ensure that individuals who pass are capable to be either a Referee or an Assistant Referee in 11 a-side soccer.

The updated delivery of the current Entry Level Clinic has been revised to consist of 17 online self-guided Law-based modules and questions via RefCentre (approx. 10 hours), one 2.5-hour theoretical Zoom session, followed by an online exam, then one 3.5 hour on-field session, . Students will be given a minimum of 7-days to complete the online training.

If you registered for a class in 2020, paid and did not attend, please contact Lynda at BC Soccer to register. Her email is
