Player, Coach & Parent Code of Conduct
Hosted by Rutland Youth Soccer Association (RYSA)
Date: Sunday, June 8, 2025 | Location: Rutland Sports Fields, Kelowna

As proud participants in the 27th Annual Mini World Cup Tournament, we uphold the values of sportsmanship, respect, and inclusivity. This event is a celebration of community and soccer spirit. By registering for this tournament, all players, coaches, and parents/guardians agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct.

 

👦 PLAYERS WILL:

  • Show respect to coaches, referees, teammates, and opponents at all times

  • Play fair, follow the rules, and compete with integrity and positive attitude

  • Avoid any form of taunting, trash talk, or aggressive behavior

  • Represent their assigned country with team spirit and pride

 

🧑🏫 COACHES WILL:

  • Be positive role models, promoting fair play, fun, and inclusion

  • Treat all referees, players, and opponents with respect and professionalism

  • Refrain from arguing with officials or confronting other coaches or spectators

  • Encourage equal playtime and enjoyment for all players, regardless of skill level

  • Take full responsibility for the behavior of their team and sideline conduct

 

👨👩👧 PARENTS & GUARDIANS WILL:

  • Cheer positively and support all players, regardless of which team they are on

  • Avoid coaching from the sidelines — let the coaches coach

  • Show appreciation to referees, volunteers, and staff who make the tournament possible

  • Ensure their children arrive on time, are prepared, and understand the spirit of the event

  • Address any concerns privately and respectfully through the proper channels

 

🚫 ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY:

  • Harsh language, yelling at referees, verbal abuse, or confrontational behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances — this applies to players, coaches, and spectators.

  • Any incidents of misconduct may result in immediate removal from the tournament site, without refund.

  • RYSA reserves the right to disqualify teams or individuals who do not comply with this Code of Conduct.
