Mini World Cup 2025: A Celebration of Community, Soccer, and Spirit

The 2025 Rutland Youth Soccer Mini World Cup wrapped up with a bang on Sunday, June 8th and what an unforgettable day it was! Led by our four powerhouse board members, April, Jackie, Claire, and Caryn, this event was the result of countless hours of behind-the-scenes planning, organizing, and coordinating, all while juggling full-time jobs, families, and everyday life. As volunteers, their dedication is nothing short of inspiring, and their flawless execution made this year’s tournament one of our best yet. We’re incredibly grateful to every coach, referee, parent, supporter, and sponsor who helped bring the magic to life. A huge shoutout to our amazing food vendors, Aloha Okanagan, My Big Fat Greek Food Truck, and Ogopogo Concessions, for keeping everyone fueled, and to Just for Fun Party Rentals for the always-popular bouncy castle. Thanks as well to the City of Kelowna for their help with field prep. And of course, to the players, YOU are the heart and soul of Mini World Cup. Your energy, spirit, and love for the game are why we do this, and you made this tournament an incredible celebration of community, sport, and youth soccer.
